First Entry.

It all started when i was young. Probably about 5 or 6 years old. Driving through town i can remember the exact moment i told my mom I wanted us to adopt a little girl from Africa. Not only any little girl, an older one, because the older ones never get adopted. My mom proceeded to tell me that i already have two younger sisters, one which had to have been a little baby, and i would need to be thankful for them. For some reason, i remember this really clearly. Being the stubborn little kid i was, i told her she was ruining my life, or maybe even that i hated her. What was i thinking?! Through my childhood i never gave up on this idea of having an adopted sister. I have recently found notes and assignments i did through out elementary school and middle school saying my dream was to adopt an older girl from africa. Today i am proud and excited to say that this is actually happening. Not only is it happening, but it has happened. Tracy Esther Nakiyiza is my little sister. She is 9 years old, and i know that this was gods plan all along. He must have put this in my hear for a reason.

As i pray that my parents will return in a few days with my new sister, i cant help but get extremely excited to hear the little stories that they tell us about silly things Tracy has said and done, as i laugh so hard i almost cry, because they are so cute. Because i know that very soon, i will witness these silly moments first hand.

One recent story stood out to my the most though. As my parents go to tuck Tracy in, she tells them that this is a "dream come true". My parents ask her what exactly she is talking about, and she tells them she has always dreamed of having a sister. My dad chimes in and says "Well Tracy you are in luck because you are going to have THREE!!!" and she responds saying, FABULOUS!

But between the cute story, there is the phrase she says, "A Dream Come True" and it really us true. This is not only a dream come true for her, but for me and the rest of my family. A little orphan girl, with just about nothing, so excited to be apart of a family. And here i am at home in America, a little girl at heart, thanking the lord and celebrating every waking moment i have, that all of our dreams are really coming true. Thank you for all your prayers.

Love, Tess
